MASTERPIECE!  This is not the style I get into when doing art, but it's the Classic style everyone loves.  this picture is awesome, but I couldn't help but think of Hansel and Grettle's Witch's gingerbread house....  When you have the time, if you feel like it, you aught to use this as the base and paint a gingerbread house over the existing house.... make the trees dead, the sky dark, the moon out = just totally opposite of each other.  and then post them side by side.  It'd be a great exercise and you'd have two awesome totally opposite pictures next to each other.
